John became a member of the firm in 1972 after receiving his degree
from UNL College of Law. John's practice is concentrated in the areas of
litigation involving: injuries due to defective products, on-the-job injuries,
disputes involving contracts, motor vehicle accidents, injuries to someone
on another person's property, injuries resulting in death, employment disputes,
and creditor's rights in bankruptcy. John also handles various matters
for several Nebraska and national banks, and serves as counsel for the
Nebraska Independent Bankers Association.
John is a member of the Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys, the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Litigation Section of the American Bar Association, and a former member of the Robert Van Pelt Inns of Court.
John has been active in the local and state bar associations. He is past president of the Nebraska State Bar Association and has also served as a member of the Nebraska Bar Association's Executive Council and its House of Delegates. He is past president of the Lincoln Bar Association and past president of the Nebraska Association of Bank Attorneys. John is the president of the law firm.
John and his wife, Diane,
have a daughter, Lisa.
