Our Firm's History





     The founder of the firm was the Honorable Judge Ernest B. Perry, a graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Law in 1899.  Judge Perry practiced in Cambridge, Nebraska, from 1899 to 1912, when he became a District Court Judge.

R. Robert Perry
     1917-1999

     In 1919, Judge Perry resigned his judgeship and entered the practice here in Lincoln in the First National Bank Building at 10th and "O" Streets as a member of the firm of Stewart, Perry & Stewart. Subsequently, the firm name changed to Perry, Van Pelt & Marti.

In 1931, Judge Perry's son, Arthur E. Perry, joined the practice. In 1947, R. Robert Perry joined his father and brother to form the firm of Perry & Perry. The firm has continued to serve clients in Lincoln and throughout Nebraska and has been located in the US Bank Building, at 13th and "M" Streets, since 1971.

In 2000, the firm celebrated 81 years of service to Lincoln and the state of Nebraska.
